Abstract

221,929. Bridgwood, W. D. Aug. 16, 1923. Rattling of windows, preventing; window frames. - The metal, celluloid, &c. channel guides of windows, particularly of vehicles, are formed with perforations, projections, &c. at sides and bottom and have strips of felt or the like 5 threaded through the perforations &c. so as to make pads or cushions. The perforations may be rectangular and grouped in pairs, those on the bottom of the channel being staggered in relation to those at the sides. The guides may be pivoted at the top to allow the window to pass over the fence rail. The felt may be held on one or both sides by tongues instead of continuous bridgepieces 3. Channel guides formed as described may be applied to the cant rail and to the top of the frame. The guide may be of rectangular, flat, or curved section.
