Abstract
A nontoxic ledger for coarse, i.e. Freshwater, fishing, or a plummet comprises a plastic clip Fig. 1. and a weight body having slots 5 to receive the clip arms releasably whereby different weights may be readily used. The weight body is preferably of zinc. <IMAGE>
Description
QUICK CHANGE LEDGER AND PLUMMET FOR FISHING.
This invention relates to a quick change ledger and plummet for fishing.
It is of a square design with a removable plastic clip, which makes easy changing from one size to another. Each size of ledger also makes a plummet for testing depth of water, thus making use of ledger unique in design and use. Ledger body is diecast in Zinc, this is nontoxic to accomodate new conservation laws regarding wildlife.
Figure 1 shows plastic clip to be made from greer nylor. It is made of a standard size, so as to fit five sizes of ledger codies.
Item 1. illustrates clip scale 4 - I which is .052" thick.
Item lA shows swan necks on clips.
Item 2. shows .012" pips for location of future development.
Item 3. is a 1/64?? hole for fixing line or snivel whichever the angler requires.
Item 4. shows "V" notch for retention of hock wher used as a plummet.
Figures 2 & 3 shows front and cross section of side elevation of ledger body, which is diecast in Zinc.
Item 5. shows .056" location slots on front view. This vie is of smallest ledger No.l.
Item 6. shows square design of body with all edges rounded by .062" rads.
Item 7. shows section of tapered nature of slots. This takes tapers of clips Fig.l.
Item 8. shows slots alike and of same depth. To accept alike
Fig.l.
Item 9. shows area where bodies are to be engraved No.l to
No.5.
Figure 3. shows section of side elevation of ledger body which will be .7501? long on all five sizes.
Ledger bodies which are made of Zinc, are to be plated to avoid corrosion caused by immersion in water.
Ledger bodies sizes 1 to 5 will weigh 8 to 18 gra=s.
Claims (5)
1. No ledger which is of a square or flat nature with a removable plastic clip or otherwise, that allows for a quick change facility or that can also be used as a plummet has been used for coarse i.e. Freshwater fishing before, also because the ledger as a greater area of body actually on the river bed it holds bottom or its position better than any other ledger.
2. The shape of this ledger requires less weight than say an Arslesley Bomb to stay in a fixed position on the river bed.
3. To use the ledger as a plummet i.e. any size of ledger, the plastic clip Fig.l. is eased back along the slots items 8 wig 3. the hook is then placed by its bend into -the "V" notch. Ite 4 Fig.l. the clip is then pressed back till clip locks back via swan necks lA Fig.l. this can then be used as a plummet for testing depth of water.
4. This item Figs 1, 2 & 3 can be used solely as a Plummet.
5. Although ledger is flat fronted and square its flight is very aerodynamic and flies through the air In a straight and unobtru- sive manner with very light dist'bance of the water on impact.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows
These feeders whether of loose or cereal feed type, are interchangeable from size to size or type to type, also the weight of such are variable and that the link in itself can be used, and in conjunction with grippas when used as a ledger only.
The combination of uses make these claims unique, and that this application for a patent is justifiable, and that this invention is of an assembly, and of multiple uses. Thereof. The Anchor Attachment will be used on ledger and feeder when feeder fails to hold position on river bed, thus avoiding use of extra weight.
