Abstract

The collector has a disc spring holder 10, and a spring 12, and when attached to an electric drill is covered in clear cling film, to catch dust when drill is being used as spring 12 will be pressed against surface, making a dust tight contact. During drill bit changing, brackets retain the spring 12 compressed. <IMAGE>

Description

DRILL DUST COLLECTOR This invention is designed to prevent dust escaping when a hole is being drilled in wall-ceiling-floor.
According to the present invention, there is provided a disc spring holder,a spring, and two brackets.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which: Figure 1 shows breakdown of components, Figure 2 shows in perspective the disc spring holder and spring in position on electric drill, Figure 3 a spring compressed with brackets to allow drill to be inserted into chuck, Figure 4 shows cling film wrapped around spring and disc spring holder, it is now ready for use.
Referring to the drawing the drill dust collector comprises of a disc spring holder 10, a spring 12, and two brackets 14.
The disc spring holder 10, is a push fit onto boss directly behind chuck.
On electric drill, Fig 2, the spring 12, is attached to disc spring holder 10, by small lugs, Fi#g 2.
The brackets 14, are for holding spring 12 compressed while drill is inserted in chuck, Fig 3.
The spring 12, and disc spring holder 10, are covered in clear cling film, and cling film is tucked inside end of spring 12, and over disc spring holder 10, Fig 4.
The drill dust collector has a disc spring holder 10, with centre hole of varied sizes to fit different size bosses on electric drill.

Claims (2)
