Abstract
A circumferential element 11 for a loud speaker is made of a silicone rubber material which adheres to the circumferential edge of the diaphragm 21 of the loud speaker for providing a better vibration elasticity to the diaphragm. The circumferential element is made of a silicone rubber which is water-proof so that the loud speaker is better suited for outdoor use. <IMAGE>
Description
CIRCUMFERENTIAL ELEMENT FOR A LOUD SPEARER This invention relates to a circumferential element for a loud speaker which is used for providing the loud speaker with a better vibration qualities.
Conventional circumferential elements for loud speakers are made of cloth, sprong or paper, which often results in the following three disadvantages:
(1) Poor Elasticity. The vibration of the loud
speaker can not perform a final tone very
well;
(2) Easily distorted by moisture. The vibration
of the loud speaker is therefore influenced;
and
(3) Easily torn or damaged. Generally,
manufacturers set a paper circumferential
element to add adhesive on the edge of the
loud speaker. Such paper material is easily
damaged by poking so as to destroy the
characteristics of adhesion and influence the
vibration of the loud speaker.
At the present time, pursuing a higher quality of life is a goal of many people. Therefore, the requirements of high quality of stereophonic sound are becoming more and more demanding.
Therefore, in accordance with a first aspect of the present invention, there is provided a circumferential element for a loud speaker made of a special material to add the quality of vibration of the loud speaker.
In accordance with a second aspect of the present invention , there is provided a circumferential element for a loud speaker which is highly elastic, waterproof and high temperature-resistant.
In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a circumferential element for a loud speaker which is not easily distorted by water or temperature changes, so that the loud speaker can be used outdoors.
Reference is now made to the accompanying drawings, wherein;
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of this invention; and
Fig 2 shows a working embodiment of this invention.
As shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, the circumferential element 1 for a loud speaker 2 has a concave circular ring 11 running along the central portion thereof so that the circumferential element 1 can be easily adhered to the circumferential edge of the diaphragm 21 of the loud speaker 2.
Conventional circumferential elements are made of paper, cloth and sponge, such materials are easily distorted by moisture and puncture and do not provide enough elasticity for the loud speaker 2 to vibrate to produce a perfect musical tone. Since parties and outdoor concerts are becoming more and more popular, a water-proof and puncture-resistant loud speaker is highly desirable.
Please note that the material of the circumferential element 1 of Khe diaphragm 21 of the loud speaker 2 is silicone rubber. One characteristic of silicone rubber is that it is water-proof. Further, the elasticity and the softness of silicone rubber are ideal for producing high quality tones.
Accordingly, this invention provides an improvement of the material of the circumferential element l of the diaphragm 21 of the loud speaker 2 for water-proof and additionally provides the diaphragm 21 of the loud speaker 2 with a high elasticity of vibration and puncture-resistance so as to provide a high-quality music tone.
Claims (3)
1. A circumferential element for a loud speaker which adheres to a diaphragm of said loud speaker; said circumferential element being made of a silicon rubber.
2. A circumferential element as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
3. A loud speaker comprising a chassis and a movable diaphragm connected to an annular element of silicon rubber which in turn is connected to the chassis.
