A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of exanple with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:- Figure 1 shows the table with the circular sliding doors in the closed position; Figure 2 shows the table with the circular sliding doors in the open position; Figure 3 shows a view from directly above the table with octagonal outer top and circular inner top removed; Figure 4 shove a rectangular piece of plywood vith grooves to provide flexability; Figure 5 shows how the plywood is curved in box mould; Figure 6 shows an exploded view of the table;; Figure 7 illustrates the removal of the octagonal outer top from the circular inner top.
Referring to the drawing the table comprises a circular lower shelf 10 four semi-circular turned legs 11 a circular inner top 12 four curved doors 14 two nylon double circular tracks with door stoppers 15 recessed into lower shelf 10 and inner top 12 and octagonal top 16 with a circle oft out of centre to house glass 17.
In order to remove the octagonal outer top 16 from inner top 12 the table is turned on it's side as shown in Fig 7 unscrew eight screws 18 and remove octagonal outer top.
To reassemble table top the steps described above are carried out in the reverse sequence.
In order to make a curved rigid door 14 take a rectangular piece of 4 mm plywood as shown in Fig 4 groove it 2 mm deep by 4 mm wide with 10 mii between each groove making sure the grooves run the short way on the rectangle. Tae the now flexible plywood and slot it into the box mould as shown in wig 5 keeping the grooved side of the plywood to the inside of the curve now smear the inside of the curve with a Lard setting fillers spreading evenly ground the inside of the curve, leave to bond and harden. After hardening remove the nor rigid door from mould, cut and sand to appropriate size, repeat the procedure for each door.
