Abstract

A locking assembly 1 comprising a case 5 having a first side 7 and two ends 9, a pair of catches 17 pivotally mounted in the case 5, means 25,29,31 for rotating the catches 17 about their respective pivot axes 19 in opposite directions such that the catches 17 extend outwardly relative to the first side 7 of the case 5 into an active position for locking and drive means 43 associated with the catches 17 which, as the catches 17 are extended, can be used to drive shoot bolts 49 in a direction substantially perpendicular to the ends 9 of the case 5.
