Abstract

A collapsable, buggy holdall has a solid, wheeled base 2 in order to carry it's own weight and that of it's contents when in use with a baby buggy or pushchair. It can be attached or detached by means of two lower arms 4 fitted with grips 5 which are situated at the rear of the base 2, and two further grips 5 which are situated at the rear of the top frame 7. The hinged wheel chassis 3, and the hinged lower attachment arms 4, fold under the base 2 making the holdall more compact when not in use.

Description

COLLAPSABLE, BUGGY HOLDALL This invention relates to a collapsable, buggy holdall.
Baby buggies are lightweight, making them the most convenient form of pushchair as they are easily collapsed to put in the boot of the car or take on public transport until needed for transporting the child.
However, unlike the heavier form of pushchair, they will not withstand a laden shopping bag or bags hung over the handles, they are too light and will tip backwards with the weight. This is dangerous for the child sitting in and, awkward for the pusher of the buggy. The small basket which can be fitted underneath some pushchairs does not afford very much shopping room.
The collapsable, buggy holdall would solve the problem. It would carry it's own weight and that of it's contents by means of a solid base supported by a frame and two small wheels. The holdall would be attached to, or detached from the buggy as required, by means of grips fitted to both top and bottom of the body.
It is likely that the holdall would fit several types of pushchairs.
The invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows the holdall fully errect and attached to the buggy.
Figure 2 shows the holdall detached from the buggy.
Figure 3 shows the holdall fully collapsed.
With reference to the drawing the holdall comprises a rigid frame 1 a solid lightweight base 2, two small wheels on folding chassis 3 two lower attachment arms 4 fitted with grips 5. Fabric body 6, rigid top frame 7 fitted with attachment grips 5, fabric top cover 8 with press-stud fastening.
