229,711. Liversedge, A. F. Nov. 26, 1923. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Stream-cutting machines; extrusion machines.-A machine for moulding plastic substances, e.g. cattle food, comprises a vertical chamber 8 in which the material is fed by gravity to a perforated, horizontal die-plate 9 and is forced therethrough by one or more rotary thrust-arms 10. As shown, the chamber 8 supports gearing 2, 3 driving a shaft 1 carrying arms 10, upon which shaft is also mounted a knife 13 to sever the extruded material into cubes or lumps. The arms 10 are inclined backwardly and downwardly at 10<a> to force 'the material through the die-plate.
