Abstract

The introduction of these particular markings would greatly increase road safety, and potentially reduce street lighting costs. It is intended that different colours would be used to define for example, slip roads on and off motorways, and perhaps red lines when negotiating dangerous bends.

Description

LUMINOUS,ILLUMINATED,AND REFLECTIVE ROAD LINES AND MARKINGS.
ROAD MARKINGS ARE AT PRESENT WHITE, NON LUMINOUS, & LARGELY NON REFLECTIVE.
IT IS INTENDED THAT A NEW PROCESS BE DEVELOPED THAT WILL ENABLE ROAD LINES AND MARKINGS TO BE MADE MORE VISIBLE.
THE APPLICATION OF A NEW PROCESS WILL HAVE A GREATER EFFECT DURING HOURS OF DARKNESS, WHEN THE LINES AND MARKINGS WILL BE SUBJECT TO VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS.

2. ILLUMINATED ROAD LINES AND MARKINGS.
3. REFLECTIVE ROAD LINES AND MARKINGS.
4. DIFFERENT COLOURS OF THE ABOVE, NAMELY WHITE, BLUE, RED, GREEN, YELLOW.
