Abstract
A dispensing wheel 2 rotates, carrying trays 4 holding pills. As the trays pass peg 10 they are tipped out into channel 13. The wheel is driven by a timing mechanism 7. The trays may be of various shapes, depicting fish, angels etc. <IMAGE>
Description
CABERS, CLOCK
Made to run by the movment from the back of an adapted alarm clock, a carousel or in this case a ferris wheel with the tablet trays going over and under the clock body, the ferris wheel can be a spider frame with arms, and trays suspended from angle brackets at the end of each arm.
All the trays tip as they pass the tipping pin, fixed by a support arm to the main frame, the time the tray tips is printed on the side of each tray, put the tablets into the tray bearing the time each tablet has to be taken, leaving appropriate time gaps to split up the day. As the tray tips it allows the tablets to slide out of the tray onto the sloping base, to slide down to the widmouth pickup tray.lf the invalid or carer fill the trays to deliver the tablets at the required time an inspection of the pickup tray will confirm that the tablets have been taken.
A carers clock is a clock which offers many disign openings from angels to fish facing the tablet trays, with design for main frame back. With wheels, vertical and horizontal chains to make shapes for the tablet trays to run on.A clockwork clock has many adaptations, with the introduction of electricity both mains and battery the scope is unlimited.
A specific embcssiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
Figure I:- shows the spider frame with trays suspended from brackets
on each arm.
Figure 2:- illustrates the tablet tray with tipping time printed on
its side and the bracket on which it pivots.
Figure 3:- illustrates the main frame the fixing to hold the clock in
place and showing the drive wheel on the back of the clock
driving the spider frame from the cogged hub.
Figure 4:- shows the main frame. tippingpin. support for tipping pin.
chime. and pickup tray.
Figure 5:- shows the assembled drawing as one with tablet tray tipping
over tipping pin.
Referring to the drawing the spider frame comprlses of 12No arms 2,spaced with spider frame spacer 5 to represent lNo hour between 2No arms 2 , 12 hours In total all 12 No arms 2 are connected to a central toothed hub 1 which turns around the support arm 7 holding the clock not shown,to the main frame support 8 . The toothed hub 1 Is turned by a toothed wheel 9 through the back of the clock 6 , On the outer end of the arms 2 the arm 2 Is bent at right angles to form a bracket 3 on which the tablet tray Is pivoted.
The clock and the spider frame are.supported by the support arm 7, allowing the tablet trays 4 to pass under the clock. In turn the support arm 7 is fixed to the main frame back 8, which also hold the tiping pin support 11 to hold the tiping pin 10 in position from the front in order to tip the tablet trays 4 wlth out hitting the spider frame arms 2.
The main frame back 8 Is sat Into main frame bace 14 which Incorperats the sloping pick up tray 13 to form support from main frame bace 14 to maln frame back 8, with chime 12 placed in drop area of main frame bace 14.
