Abstract
A glove whose finger sleeves have open elasticated tips (1) which can be pulled back over the fingers as shown at (2) so that fine, precision work can be done without having to take the glove off. <IMAGE>
Description
PRECISION-WORK GLOVES
This invention relates to a glove whose finger sleeves have open, elasticated tips.
Gloves are available in to formats - those whose finger sleeves have closed tips; and those whose finger sleeves extend only halfway up the fingers. In the former, although the whole hand is kept warm, the glove has to be removed to allow any precision -rork to be done. In the latter, precision work can be done without taxing the glove off, but the dismal halves of all fingers are exposed to the cold.
According to the present invention, the glove will have finder sleeves, the tips of which will be open and elasticated. The elastic will cause the open end to fall together, thus covering the finger tip. But, as the end of the sleeve is open, it can be pulled back over the finger, thus leaving as much of the finger as is necessary bare, or the performance of precision work. The elastic will ensure that the pulled-back sleeve stays up.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing which shows a glove with three of the finger sleeves pulled back over the fingers, and the other two sleeves covering the fingers fully.
Re-èrring to the drawing, the elastic 1 at the tips is knitted into the glove in a knitted glove. In a glove other than a knitted glove, the elastic is incorporated in a hem.
In order to do precision work, the finger sleeves are pulled back 2, leaving as much of the fingers as necessary bare or performing precision work. At other times, the finger sleeves are pulled forward to cover the entire length o the fingers 3 , preventing them from getting cold.

1. A glove with finger sleeves, the tips of which are open and elasticated.
