Abstract

An inflatable dummy is provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means for inflation, for use by a person, especially a woman, marooned in a broken-down vehicle to resemble a living companion in the vehicle and hence to deter any would-be molester or attacker. The dummy is shaped so as to enable it to wear clothes. The dummy has lower limbs which extend sufficiently to support the dummy in an upright, seated position. <IMAGE>

Description

AN INFLATABLE DUMMY This invention relates to an inflatable dummy.
The object of the invention is to provide an inflatable dummy for use by a person, especially a woman, marooned in a broken-down vehicle to resemble a living companion in the vehicle and hence to deter any would-be molester or attacker.
The invention provides an inflatable dummy as claimed in Claim 1.
The invention will be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows the storage of the invention when dummy is deflated and folded.
Figure 2 shows the inflatable dummy in position in a vehicle, with additional clothing worn.

Claims (7)

1 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy with the gas when required; the dummy being adapted to resemble, in size and features when inflated, a seated vehicle passenger or driver.
2 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy as claimed in claim 1 wherein the dummy is designed with arms joined to the remainder at the shoulders and with a natural shaped head to enable other clothing to be worn by the dummy.
3 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 wherein the design of the body and limbs of the dummy enable a standard seat belt to be worn by the dummy and thus hold it in place in the seat of the vehicle.
4 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 wherein the lower limbs extend sufficiently to support the dummy in an upright, seated position.
5 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 or claim 4 wherein the lower limbs are joined to the trunk only at their upper end to enable other trousers to be worn by the dummy.
6 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 or claim 4 or claim 5 wherein a feature or some features are not of an inflatable nature.
7 An inflatable dummy provided with a renewable canister of compressed gas and selectively operable valve means to inflate the dummy substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawing.
