Description
[PANEL A] BACK/SPINE EXERCISER
This invention is for a machine that will help people to exercise their spinelback in a safe and gentle manner.
This machine was initially designed to help people who had hurt their spinal pathway. It became clear while working on this invention that a simpler version of this machine could be constructed which would have a wider application. In other words, it would have a commercial use in a sense that it could be used by members of the public to exercise as part of a keep-fit routine. For reasons of clarity I will refer to the initial invention as the Max 1 machine and refer to the simplified version as Max 2 machine.
The person using the Max 1 machine would have the choice to start the exercises either in a standing or sitting position. The person using the Max 2 machine would start and finish exercising from a standing position.
A locking boss is used on Max 1 to keep the adjustable vertical bar in position once the correct height has been decided.
Both machines would be secured to either the floor or the wall by bolts (not shown).
Both Max 1 and Max 2 would be easy to construct and relatively inexpensive.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of an example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which
Figure 1 shows in perspective Max 1
Figure 2 shows in perspective Max 2 [PANEL BJ Referring to the drawing for Max 1 the machine comprises a body 1, an angled base plate 2, an arm 3, an adjustable holding bar 4, a v-bar 5, a locking boss 6.
Referring to the drawing for Max 2 the machine comprises a body 1, an angled base plate 2, an arm 3, a fixed vertical holding pin 4, a v-bar 5.
