Abstract
227,809. Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Clark, G. H.). Jan. 18, 1924, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Undesired signals, eliminating or limiting.-A rejector circuit, is inserted in some non-tuned part of the receiving system so that it can be adjusted to cut out various interfering frequencies without materially affecting the tuning of the aerial or secondary circuits to the frequency of the desired signals. In Fig. 2 the rejector circuit 10, tuned to the interfering frequency, is located as shown between the grid 13 and the grid-leak and condenser 14', 14, where it can be adjusted without affecting the setting of the aerial 3, 4 or tuned secondary 6. As shown in Fig. 5 the closed secondary 6 is coupled to the aerial inductance by condensers 21, 22, whilst the rejector circuit 10 is inserted between the detector 7 and the closed secondary. Fig. 7 shows a heterodyne receiver in which a rejector 10, tuned to the frequency of the local oscillator, prevents the latter from energizing the receiving aerial 3, 5, and so causing local radiation.
