Abstract

A mirror comprises a combination of four hinged mirrors to give improved visibility from the vehicle by eliminating blind spots and ensuring that there is a possible 270 DEG vision horizontally and a possible 180 DEG vertically. <IMAGE>

Description

THE "MORRIS" UNIVERSAL MIRROR Technical Field This invention relates to a hinged 4 part driving mirror for vehicles which gives the driver 2700 vision.
Background Drivers Mirrors do not give the driver all round vision and on many vehicles there are "blank spots when the driver is unable to see, e.g., a vehicle about to pass him. Also children on the back seat are not always visible to the drivers eye. This invention ensures that at all times there is 270 vision horizontally and 1800 vertically.
Essential Technical Features The Fig. 1 gives a clear indication of the invention where the 4 part mirrors are hinged together to be adjusted to suit the drivers line of sight.

Claims (1)

  1. (i) A mirror for a vehicle comprising at least two reflective surfaces hinged and movable relative to each other.
    (ii) A mirror as claimed in (i) comprising at least three reflective surfaces hinged and movable relative to each other.
    (iii) A mirror as claimed in (i) and (ii) comprising one main reflective surface together with two hinged side reflecting surfaces movable and mounted horizontally to the main reflective surface.
    (iv) A mirror as claimed in (1), (ii) and (iii) comprising four reflective surfaces with one main reflective surface with two hinged side reflecting surfaces movable and mounted horizontally to the main reflective surface and a further reflective surface movable and mounted vertically to the main reflective surface relative to others.
    (v) A mirror as claimed in (iv) with the fourth reflective surface movable and mounted vertically to the other reflective surfaces and relative to them.
    (vi) A mirror as claimed in (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) with four reflective surfaces hinged and movable relative to each other.
    Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows (i) A mirror for a vehicle comprising at least two reflective surfaces swivel jointed together and movable relative to each other.
    (ii) A mirror as claimed in (i) comprising at least three reflective surfaces swivel jointed together and movable relative to each other.
    (iii) A mirror as claimed in (i) and (ii) comprising one main reflective surface together with two swivel jointed together side reflecting surfaces movable and mounted horizontally to the main reflective surface.
    (iv) A mirror as claimed in (i), (ii) and (iii) comprising four reflective surfaces with one main reflective surface with two swivel jointed reflective surfaces movable and mounted horizontally to the main reflective surface and a further reflective surface movable and mounted vertically to the main reflective surface relative to others.
    (v) A mirror as claimed in (iv) with the fourth reflective surface movable and mounted vertically to the other reflective surfaces and relative to them.
    (vi) A mirror as claimed in (i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) with four reflective surfaces hinged and movable relative to each other.
