Abstract

A lock assembly for a padlock with a protective enclosure for padlock and lock assembly for securing a pair of closure members. The lock assembly comprises a staple secured to one closure member and a protective box secured to the other closure member. The back plate of the protective box has a slot for receiving the loop portion of the staple. The bottom of the box is an open end which allows the insertion of a human hand into the shield for application of a padlock to the staple to secure the protective box in the closed position and to permit subsequent unlocking of the padlock. <IMAGE>

Description

LOCK PROTECTOR (DOCLOCK) 1) This invention constitutes a hinged bracket jaised to a piece of rectangular steel to form a padlock guard. It is made in such a way as to give easy hard access, but prevents bolt cutters to have any success. The thickness of the steel used on this operation is 5 mils.
2) A slot is cut in the centre of back plate to house single eye male fitting, the slot acting as the female end.
3) A weather cap is fitted to top of rectangular steel, fastened by grub screw. This can be fitted on either end to suit Left or Right Hand Fitting. This is a good advantage.
4) This protective guard to fit onto a vertical single eye, made from tensile steel, the U diameter 19 mils with the threaded part from the shoulder to the end 13 mils, with ample thread to serve most purposes. This U bolt to act as the male fitting.

Claims (4)

1) THE DOCLOK LOCK PROTECTOR IS DESIGNED TO PREVENT THE USE OF BOLT CUTTERS BREAKING THE LOCK.
2) mE DOCLOK LOCK PROTECTOR CAN BE USED ON RIGHT HAND OR LEFT HAND CONNECTIONS. THE WEATHER CAP IS INTERCHANGABLE.
3) THE DOCLOK PROTECTOR WILL PREVENT EARLY DETERIORATION OF LOCK WORKING PARTS.
4) THE DOCLOK LOCK PROTECTOR WILL GIVE FLUENT MANUAL ACCESS TO LOCK.
