Abstract

A galvanised water trough 10 is pivotally supported by brackets 11, 12. The brackets 11 are bolted to its sides and support the tank undersides and the brackets 12 are secured to a base. The brackets are pivotally joined by a hand pin (16, Fig 2, not shown) allowing quick release for complete cleaning. The tank has a disconnectable, float controlled fill valve. <IMAGE>

Description

WATER TROUGH MOUNTINGS This invention relates to a water trough and it's special mountings which in the main provide for easy and effective cleaning of the trough. It can be mounted on a hard standing or direct onto a field surface. A specific description of the component parts of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawing on which FIGURE 1. Shows in perspective a completed water trough with support brackets attached.

Referring to the drawing Fig. 1. 10 shows the galvanised Water Trough 11 the trough brackets bolted to the trough and clamped to the underside. 12 are the floor or ground mounting brackets, 13 the drain tap, 26 the automatic water filling valve and snap connector cover.

24, can secure the support brackets into a concrete or brick base or long anchor pins 25, driven into field grass or gravel areas.

The trough support 12, is finally secured to the trough brackets by the hand pin 16, inserted through both components and secured by a clinch pin 17. The water trough is now in a rigid position.

The water trough when drained and disconnected can revolve through 180 so giving access in any position to afford easy cleaning and complete drainage. The snap connector 28, can be adapted to attach a length of hose to wash out the trough.

Claims (6)

1. A galvanised water trough supported on hollow steel box section brackets bolted to the trough and mounted on similar steel pivot support brackets secured to a base by alternative methods.

2. A galvanised water trough as claimed in clause 1. whereon a pivot attached to either end affords effortless and safe rotation of the trough when the hand pins are removed.

3. A galvanised water trough as claimed in 1. and 2. is for a basic trough but the additions of automatic fill from piped water supply with its instant snap connector release is unique.

4. A galvanised water trough as claimed in 1. and 2. with ability to be held in any position through a radius of 1800 for complete drainage and cleaning.
