Abstract

A window frame structure comprises an inner frame (10) and an outer frame (12). Both frames (10, 12) are of complementary rectangular shape. The inner frame (10) is intended to be secured to a support structure (14) with the outer frame (12) hingedly connected to the inner frame (10) along one side thereof. The inner frame (10) is formed from lengths of an elongate component (22) whose cross-section is of an inverted T or substantially so. One first part of a hinge has a wall (24) upstanding from an outer part of the cross-piece (26) of the component (22) parallel to and spaced outwardly from the stem (28) of the component (22). The wall (24) terminates at its upper end in a cylindrical formation engageable by an elongate clip (32) of C-shape cross-section of a second part (34) of the hinge provided on the outer frame (12). <IMAGE>
