Description
SUFFOLK PEA TANK
There has always been a problem when transporting freshly harvested products frOlTI the fields to the factory of waste juices leaking from the carrying containers onto the highway causing both an accident and hygiene risk The "Suffolk Pea Tank" has been desigd to completely eliminate both of these problems.
The tank is designed to catch unwanted (waste) juice from any commodity that it carries. It traps the juice in a channel incorporated in the lower section of the tank. The floor of the tank is angled from both front and rear to enable the juice to collect at one point in the base of the tank. A series of four millimetre holes drilled in the base of the tank at the aForementioned point allows the juice to drain through in to a collecting channel. This channel also doubles as a support at the base of the tank.
The drain channel is tapered along its full length to enable the juice to be drained off through a suitable tap situated at one rid of the channel. Both ends of tlic channel have access for ease of cleaning.
The four millimetre drilled holes can be enlarged or reduced if necessary depending on the commodity carried.
Another important feature is the watertight seal fitted around the taildoor of the tank this ensures that no juice can leak from the back of the. tank
This tank can be made from any suitable material that is acceptable under The Food safety Act 1990.
