Abstract
A modular computer system and an analyser for analysing such a system are provided, comprising: a plurality of modules 11 - 16 connected by a bus 14 for communicating to each other by outputting messages onto the bus and receiving messages from the bus. Each module has means for performing operations and means for outputting debug messages indicating the state of progress of the operations. The analyser 17 has means for connecting to the bus for monitoring messages from the modules, and means for sending a debug activation message to selected modules. Each selected module commences outputting a debug message in response to receipt of the activation message. The system may be a radio. <IMAGE>
