Abstract

Draught devices; adjusting and lifting parts of implements.-An agricultural implement is attached to a tractor in such a way that groundengaging means on the implement are operated by the pitching and tilting of the tractor so as to keep the implement at a regular working depth. Fig. 1 shows a plough having a head 4 connected to a drawbar and an abutment 3 by means of pivot pins 5, 6. The plough frame 10 is connected to the head 4 by a pair of lower links 8 and a single upper link 11 connected to struts 12 on the frame. The plough is controlled by a handlever 15 secured to a cross-head 16 between the sides of the plough frame. This cross-head has two arms 18 connected to a link 19, the forward end of which is integral with a sleeve 85 on a screwed shaft 20 on the plough head 4. By means of this screw and sleeve the plough can be adjusted laterally. A forward pull on the lever 15 raises the ploughshares, and by means of the levers and links 19, 18, 61, 60, 57, 54, 51, the pitching of the tractor adjusts the wheel 53 so as to keep the ploughshare 30 at a uniform depth.
