Abstract

A self loading dumper truck; e.g. a motorised wheeled vehicle has a receptical bucket 10 which can be loaded by loading arm 12 and elevated by means of hydraulic system 11 and tipped by means of extending arm 16. Loading arm 12 is operated from flying seat and the truck when at rest is stabilised by adjustable arms 15 which are situated at the rear or adjacent to the rear of the vehicle. <IMAGE>

Description

SELF LOADING DUMPER-TRUCK WITH AN ELEVATING BUCKET AND REAR DIGGING ARM.
This invention relates to a self loading dumper-truck with anelevating bucket and rear digging arm.
Dumper-trucks are well known site working vehicles comprising a motor driven chassis upon which is mounted a bucket of variable dimensions which can tip and is used to convey building materials and waste from place to place as required.
This invention not only includes an elevating bucket but also incorporates a loading arm.
According to the present invention which is a complete departure from any similar vehicles inasmuch that the bucket may be elevated to a height of 2 metres and then safely tipped and returned to resting position from there it may be loaded without the operator leaving the vehicle, thereby halving capital and labour costs.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a plan of the vehicle with all working parts at rest.
Figure 2 shows a plan of vehicle illustrating the elevation of the bucket by means of an hydraulic lifting system.
Figure 3. shows a plan of the vehicle with the bucket at rest and the loading arm extended by means of an hydraulic system.
Figure 4 shows a front view of the vehicle at rest.
Figure 5 shows a rear view of the vehicle with stabilising arms extended.
t 5 a2 e Referring to the drawings the dumper comprises a motorised wheeled chassis and a body upon which is mounted a bucket 10 and a loading arm 12 that may be activated by an hydraulic system 11.
In order to elevate bucket 10 by means of hydraulic system 11, an extending elevating arm 13 is emplyed, to enable bucket 10 to be fully tipped an extending arm 16 is activated by means of hydraulic system 11, as illustrated in Fig. 2.
So that the bucket 10 may be loaded by means of arm 12 when dumper is at rest, stabilising arms 15 are brought into action by means of hydraulic system 11. as illustrated in Fig. 2.
When loading arm 12 is to be employed flying seat 14 is mechanically activated above stabilising arms 15. as illustrated in Fig. 3.
Fig. 5 shows clearly stabilising arms 15.

CLAIMS.
1. A self loading dumper truck comprising a motorised wheeled chassis and body upon which atthe front end is mounted a receptical bucket which may be filled by a loading arm situated at or adjacent to the rear of the vehicle which is stabilised by adjustable arms situated or adjacent to the rear of the vehicle.
2. A self loading dumper truck as claimed in Claim 1 wherein means are provided on the vehicle activated from the operators seat to elevate the receptical bucket.
3. A self loading dumper truck as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein means are provided from the operators seat to tip the elevated receptical bucket.
4. A self loading dumper truck as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim3, wherein a loading arm is provided with means activated from the operators seat whereby the receptical bucket may be loaded.
5. A self loading dumper truck as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim 3 or Claim 4 wherein a flying seat is mechanically extended from the operators position.
6. A self loading dumper truck as claimed in Claim 2 or Claim 3 or Claim 4 wherein means are provided at the rear or adjacent to the rear whereby the vehicle is stabilised by means of adjustable arms.
7. A self loading dumper truck substantially as described herein with reference to Figures 1-5 of the accompanying drawings.
