Abstract

The device for cooling a wall of a shaft furnace comprises packets, mounted along the wall and fixed on a shell (9) thereof, which packets have cooling tubes (3) and refractory insertions (6) placed between said tubes (3). Each of the packets is subdivided along the height into sections (1) each of them having cooling tubes (3) which are welded to a metal plate which plate is arranged inside the section (1) and subdivided into separate parts (7).
