Joints with yielding inner part expanded; swivelling joints.-Non-expansible flexible hose of the type in which a flexible core is inserted in the hose while it is subjected to internal pressure of greater degree than during use say under brake pressures, as described in Specification 207,176, has an end metal fitting adapted to receive the end of the core to prevent rupture of hose during flexing. The end fitting comprises a two-diameter sleeve 11 with internal grooves 16 to fit over the end of the hose and an internal fitting 12 adapted to fit inside the end fitting and engage the end of the hose 10. The internal fitting is then expanded by a tool 17 to force the hose into the recesses of the sleeve fitting, the internal diameter of the end fitting being subsequently greater than that of the hose. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a connection to the pump cylinder 31 by intermediate members 34, 38, Fig. 5 (Cancelled), the member 38 being screwed into the pump cylinder also. The device for inserting the flexible core under pressure comprises a cylinder 19 in which slides a ram 20 carrying the flexible core 22 and a detachable head 25. A pipe 28 supplies the pressure fluid, a removable stopper 30 being used on the other end of the pipe, Fig. 4 (Cancelled). This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
