Abstract

211,678. Jones, W. Feb. 3, 1923. Tripod stands.-In a portable folding seat of the type comprising an upright 1, a folding tripod base and a twopart folding seat member 7, the latter is supported in its position of use by inclined stays J9 pivoted at 22 to members 7 and at 18 to a sliding collar 15, and is adapted to fold downwardly into its out-of-use position bv a downward movement of the collar. The collar may be locked in either position by a pin 23, and lugs 13 on one seat member may engage recesses in the other seat member when they are extended. The pivoted feet 26 of the tripod support may be of angular or L-formation.
