Abstract

211,361. Brown, J. H. March 23, 1923. Boxes made from special blanks; corner joints, battens, strengthening. - A travelling trunk, cabin trunk, suit case, &c. has the edges of endpieces 2, Fig. 1, turned over upon the outside of the front 4, bottom 5 and back 6, and the edges 7 of the front, bottom and back are turned inwards to make flat contact with the inner faces of the endpieces, the joints being secured by rivets, and concealed by rabbeted battens 10. The end-pieces. 2 are made from blanks shaped as shown in Fig. 4 with parts 14 cut away.
