Abstract

211,304. Willson, A. A. Jan. 9, 1923. Carpet-sweepers.-The brush 8, which is rotated by contact with the ground, supports the forward end of angled side-frames 1 carried at their rear on rollers 12. A collecting-tray 6, adjustably mounted in the side-frames and secured by wing- nuts, is provided with a forwardly-extending lip 17, Fig. 3, that is positioned close to the ground and to the bristles 9. A transverse strip 20 extends across the front of the machine and serves as a scraper and splash preventer. Handles 22 are secured to a rear transverse member extending between the side-frames and are stayed by rods 23 attached to the member 20.
