Abstract

A high-pressure gas cartridge is formed by a metallic container (21) having a neck portion (21a) defining a mouth, a safety closure (22) sealingly closing the mouth, and a quantity of fluid under pressure stored in the container. The closure (22) comprises an inner base layer (23) of a metal with a pressure relief hole (25) and welded to the container neck portion (21a), an outer layer (26) of a second metal thinner than the inner base layer and an intermediate layer of solder (27) to sealingly secure them together so that the pressure relief hole (25) is closed by the outer layer (26). The inner layer (23) is formed therein with a recess (24) surrounding the pressure relief hole (25) and faced to the outer layer when the inner and outer layers are assembled together to conduct soldering. <IMAGE>
