Abstract

A support collar (1) for a harvested flower (34) in bloom. Collar (1) is composed of resilient sheet material and has a body portion (2) defining a support aperture (3), and a plurality of retaining teeth portions (6) on the body portion (2) projecting inwardly into the support aperture (3). In use, a calyx (38) of the flower (34) is positioned in the support aperture (3) and the teeth portions (6) engage the calyx (38) to resiliently urge that calyx (38) into a cupped whorl configuration extending about petals (37) of the flower (34). A tool (9) is also provided for holding support collar (1) so as to assist in its application to the flower (34).
