Abstract

The tipping device (2) comprises a telescopic cylinder (3) which is by means of a lower bearing (4) mounted on the vehicle frame (5) and by means of an upper bearing (6) on the platform (7) The transverse journal pins (11) of the upper bearing and/or the lower bearing of the tipping device are mounted with a vertical clearance (A) in holes (14) provided in bearing lugs (13) so as to permit a relative movement of the journal pins and the bearing lugs in a vertical transverse plane of the vehicle. In this way, the platform is able to turn relative to the vehicle frame when an uneven load is acting on the platform or when driving on uneven ground whereby the cylinder of the tipping device is relieved of bending stresses when the torque acting on the platform due to said uneven load or said uneven ground on exceeds a predetermined value.
