Abstract

A floating hotel comprises a hull having a relatively small length- beam coefficient, apartments arranged in tiers, two or more swimming pools (7) arranged in a cascade and a tunnel or recess (2) serving as a harbour area for yachts. In addition to all the necessary apartment, recreational, general purpose and operational accommodations the ship has also watertight entrance gates (3) which lead to rectangular boat recesses having vertical lifts for lifting the boats in and out of the water. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Holiday Ship This invention is a holiday ship, featuring variable places of mooring/several times a year/and intended mainly for leisure and spending vacation at sea.
The hitherto-known solutions for passenger, excursion and hotel ships and for ferries are adapted mainly to transport or mooring in ports. These solutions do not include all of the possible ways of leisure or spending vacation at sea.
The present invention fills in the abovementioned gap in the development of shipping. The object of this invention is a cubicoid hull with an open-bottom tunnel recess, watertight entrance gates and multi-storey deck houses with free decks. The free decks on the external side have a cascade of open swimming pools and on the internal side vertical multi-step stairs and apartments with entrance doors to the corresponding free deck. Under the main deck of the hull, besides all the necessary equipment and premises required for stationary and mobile operation, there are vertical lifts for boats, hangers for the yachts, a two-storey restaurant-caf8, a sports hall and a hall with swimming pools and saunas. Each apartment has one door from the corridor and one door from the free deck with big windows.
Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 shows a general view of the holiday ship from above; Figure 2 shows a view of the premises under the main deck of this ship and Figure 3 shows a cross-section of the superstructure with free decks and internal compartments.
This ship, in accordance with the above examples, consists of the cubicoid hull 1 equipped from the stern side with the openbottom tunnel recess 2 and watertight entrance gates 3 with submerged lower edges 4. In the middle part the ship has multi-storey deck houses 5 shifted relative to each other so that they form free decks 6 and equipped with two or more open swimming pools forming a cascade 7. Inside the cubicoid hull 1 there are recesses with vertical lifts 8, hangars for yachts 9, the two-storey restaurant-cafè 10, the sports hall 11 and the hall 1 2 with covered swimming pool 13 and saunas 14.
Inside the multi-storey deck houses 5 there are vertical multi-step stairs 15, apartments 1 6 distributed along the corridors and vertical lifts 17.
Inside the open-bottom tunnel recess 2 there is a mooring platform 1 8 and a watertight exit door 1 9 into the boat hangars 9.
Each of the apartments 1 6 has an external entrance door 20 to the corresponding free deck 6, a self-sufficient kitchenette and bathroom and WC.
The open-bottom tunnel recess 2 serves for 24-hour mooring of boats and protecting them against atmospheric precipitation. The watertight entrance gates 3 serve to bring in and out the boats from the hangars. The free decks 6 serve for walks and individual sunbathing. The cascade of swimming pools 7 serves to improve recreation and make it more attractive. The vertical lifts 8 serve to transfer the boats from the water to the hangar and vice versa. The hangars 9 are used to keep the boats for a longer period and for repairs.
The vertical multi-step stairs 1 5 serve for direct passage from one deck to another. The mooring platform 18 serves for mooring the boats and for access to door 1 9.
