Abstract

210,079. Aktiebolaget Svenska Kullagerfabriken. Jan. 19, 1923, [Convention date]. Ball bearings.-A sheet-metal cage is made by pleating the outer edge of a plain disc or equivalent member and by bending the pleated part at right angles to the plane of the disc. As shown the cage has a radial flange 9 on one side, and radial projections 5 in the form of folds or pleats spaced at intervals round the circumference, the grooves between the folds emerging from the flange 9 inside the outer circumference thereof. Holes 8 in the cylindrical portions between the folds 5 accommodate the balls 10. The radial flange 9 may be flat, Fig. 18, or the inner edge thereof may be turned in as at 13, Fig. 22. The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also a cage in which the pleated projection 5, Fig. 25, (Cancelled), extend radially outwards. This subject matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
