Abstract

A pressure regulator and method responds to pressure conditions acting upon a pressurized bellows (37) assembly located downstream of the pressure-controlling seal (25). The design parameters are indicated for establishing a slight deviation in stable regulation to provide proportional indication of the supply pressure, and hence available gas volume within a supply cylinder (81). Two versions of the regulator (9, 61) are disclosed, and filtering (77) apparatus is provided at the inlet end (63) of the regulator for convenient servicing without need for any additional high pressure connectors.
