Abstract

A ticket holder which is mounted on the windscreen of a motor vehicle in order to display car park tickets without having to use any method of sticking the ticket directly to the windscreen comprises a rectangular plastics casing having prongs at its bottom edge insertable behind the windscreen surround rubber, the casing having a thickened portion at its sides and bottom, and being open at its top to receive the ticket. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Windscreen mounted car park ticket holder This invention relates to a windscreen mounted car park ticket holder.
There is a type of car park ticket in common use on "Pay and Display" car parks in particular whereby the driver, having purchased his ticket, then has to remove a waxed protective layer of paper exposing a sticky surface which is then pressed onto the windscreen so as to display the time and date of arrival. Upon removal of said ticket, the sticky substance is usually left on the windscreen leaving an unsightly and distracting mess which requires a solvent to remove it.
According to the present invention there is provided an oblong shaped piece of plastic having a thicker section around three of its four sides so as to leave an open side at the top when mounted flat against the windscreen. It is to be mounted flat against the windscreen by slipping the prongs provided underthewindscreen rubber surround.
This enables the ticket to be displayed without having to stickthetickettothe glass.
Referring to the drawings: Figure lisa plan view and is approximately full size.
Figure 2 is the ticket holder viewed from the side facing away from the windscreen.
Figure 3 is viewed from the side which presses against the windscreen.
Figure 4shows the ticket holder in position. It is secured by having slipped the prongs behind the windscreen surround rubber which has the effect of pushing the holder flat against the windscreen.
The ticket holder can be positioned so as not to obscure the driver's vision, or even removed altogether leaving no mark.

    SPECIFICATION Windscreen mounted car park ticket holder This invention relates to a windscreen mounted car park ticket holder.
    There is a type of car park ticket in common use on "Pay and Display" car parks in particular whereby the driver, having purchased his ticket, then has to remove a waxed protective layer of paper exposing a sticky surface which is then pressed onto the windscreen so as to display the time and date of arrival. Upon removal of said ticket, the sticky substance is usually left on the windscreen leaving an unsightly and distracting mess which requires a solvent to remove it.
