Abstract

A set of elements for construction of racks, trellis and frameworks particularly for horticulture and floriculture. The set consists of thick 1 and thin 3 plastic tubes of different lengths. Thick tubes have transverse openings (2 Fig. 1) to insert thin tubes tightly. Thin tubes 3 can also be tightly inserted into inside diameter of thick tubes. By connecting tubes of both types and various lengths in different ways it is possible to self-assemble dismountable racks, trellis or frameworks to achieve required shape. The typical application of this invention is pergola (Fig. 5). <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION A set of elements for construction of racks, trellisworks and frame works particularly in application for horticulture and floriculture This invention deals with a set of elements for construction of racks, trellis works and frame works particularly for supporting flowers and shrubs, constructing pergolas, summer houses, etc.
Up till now the racks, trellis and frameworks used in horticulture and floriculture are being made out of wooden or plastic strips nailed, rivetted or srewed together, or steel bars welded or screwed together.
All the above solutions present various disadvantages.
The set of elements according to this invention consist of drawn sections, preferable tubes made of plastic materials, of two diameters cut into required lengths. The thicker tubes have transverse holes, preferably at regular distances to each other, to insert thinner tubes into them tightly. Also the inside diameter of the thicker tube is such that thinner tube fits tightly inside.
Both types of connections described above, allow erection of racks, trellisworks, frameworks and similar structures of desired shape.
If necessary some elements can be inserted into the ground. Tubes can be strengthened by shaping their inside profile.
Examples are presented on the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows example of iarger diameter tube 1 with transverse holes 2.
Figure 2 shows smaller diameter tube 3.
Figure 3 illustrates different possibilities of connections.
Figure 4 shows the section of tube strengthened by shaped inside profile.
Figure 5 shows in perspective one possible combination of a set of elements composed into a pergola.
1. A set of elements for constructing racks, trellisworks and frameworks particularly in application for horticulture and floriculture significant in that it consists of drawn sections, preferably tubes made of plastic materials, of two diameters cut into required lenghts. The thicker drawn sections (tubes) have transverse holes to insert the thinner drawn sections (tubes) into them tightly. Also the inside diameter of the thicker drawn section (tube) is such that thinner drawn section (tube) fits tightly inside.
2. A set of elements for constructing racks, trellisworks and frameworks substantially as described herein with reference to Figs. 1-5 of the accompanying drawing.
