Abstract
A case 101 for portable telephone equipment comprises a body 102 and a lid 103 hinged thereto. The body is provided with a carrying handle 106. The inside of the case is divided up into compartments for receiving the various items of telephone equipment such as the handset and the battery. For example compartment 109 is adapted to accommodate the handset. Separate access to these compartments is provided by individual covers 121, 124 which are hinged to the body 102. These hinged covers allow access to the various items of telephone equipment in the compartments without the necessity of opening up the case completely. <IMAGE>
Description
SPECIFICATION
Portable telephone case
Object of the invention
The present invention refers to a case for a portable telephone equipment, inside which there is a plurality of compartments for the component elements of the said equipment. These compartments are made in the body of the case, and specifically those compartments in which the handset and the battery are installed, communicate with the outside through apertures having independent closure means.
Summary of the invention
The case for telephone equipment of the present invention comprises a body with its corresponding cover fixed thereto by hinging means, both elements having conventional closure means. The cover includes the conventional compartments for documents, and the body or cover has a preferably handle-like transportation means. Inside the body there is a plurality of compartments in which the component elements of the portable telephone equipment are housed. Specifically two of these compartments, those in which the handset and the battery are installed, communicate with the outside through apertures covered by independent closure means.
This case structure facilitates the use of the handset through the corresponding aperture without having to open the case. Likewise, the battery could be charged or re-charged through its corresponding aperture without having to open the case.
Short description of the drawings
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a first embodiment of the case in a closed position, the aperture of the compartment for the handset being made at a side zone of the bottom of the body, whilst the communicating aperture of the compartment for the battery is located at the upper zone of one side of the body.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the case, represented in Figure 1, in an open position.
Figure 3 is another embodiment of the case of the invention, in a closed position, the communicating aperture of the battery compartment being located at an upper side zone of the bottom of the body, whilst the communicating aperture of the handset compartment is located at the other side of the bottom, covering its entire width.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of the case illustrated in Figure 3 in an open position.
Figure 5 is a perspective view of another embodiment of the case of the invention in a closed position, the communicating aperture of the battery compartment being located at an upper zone of one side of the body.
Figure 6 is a perspective view of the case illustrated
in Figure 5 in an open position, the communicating aperture of the handset compartment covering a complete side of the body.
Detailed description of the invention
In accordance with the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2, the case 101 is comprised of a body 102 and a closure cover 103 which are joined by hinge means 104 and are provided with complementary closure means 105. The body 102 incorporates transportation means comprised of a handle 106.
Inside the body 102 there is a plurality of compartments 108, 109 and 110. Compartments 108 and 110 can be closed by a cover 111, whilst compartment 109 can be closed by an additional cover 112 with their corresponding closure means 113.
Cover 111 has a duct 114 on which the antenna of the portable telephone equipment will be disposed.
The handset of the portable equipment is installed in the compartment 109. This compartment 109 has an aperture 116, communicating with the outside, comprised of a rectangular window located at a side zone of the bottom of the body 102 covering its entire width. The rectangular window 116, at its lower edge 117, is hinged to a cover 118 provided with another hinging zone 119 and a flap 120.
At least some of the edges of the cover 118 have closure means 121 to be retained to the frame of the window 116. These closure means 121 are preferably constituted of "velcro".
The compartment 110, in which the battery is housed, communicates with the outside through an aperture 122 comprised of a rectangular window located at the upper zone of one side of the body 102.
At the top of the aperture or window 122 there is a hinge line 123 for a cover 124 provided with velcro closure means 125.
This construction of the case 101 facilitates, without having to open its cover 103, the use of the handset through the window 116 by opening the cover 121, and the charging or recharging of the battery through the window 122 by opening the cover 124, without having to open the cover 103 of the body 102.
The flap 120, when folded at its hinge 119 to the cover 118, is disposed on one of the locks 105 hiding it. Likewise, at the other side of the case there is another flap 120' which will hide the other lock 105.
This flap 120' also has velcro closure means 121.
According to another embodiment, as illustrated in
Figures 4 and 5, the compartment 209 of the body 202 communicates with the outside through an aperture 216, at the bottom of which there is a line 217 by means of which a cover 218 is hinged, while at the top of the window 21 6 there is another hinge line 219 for an upper flap 220. Both the cover 218 and the flap 220 are provided with means 221 to be fixed to the window 216, the said means being preferably of velcro. The handset is housed in this compartment 209.
The battery is installed in the compartment 210 which communicates with the outside through the aperture 224 located at an upper side zone of the bottom of the body 202. This aperture 225 is window-shaped and can be closed by a cover 224 hinged at a line 223 to the window 222. The cover 224 has closure means 225, preferably of velcro. The remaining components of the case of this embodiment are identical to those already described for the embodiment of Figures 1 and 2.
According to a third embodiment, the case 301 has a compartment for the handset 309 located at a side zone of the bottom of the body 302, communicating with the outside through an aperture 316 comprised of a rectangular window, at the smaller side 317 of which there is a line by means of which a cover 318, provided with velcro closure means, is hinged to the said window 316.
The compartment 310 communicates with the outside through an aperture 319 comprised of a rectangular window located at an upper zone of the larger side of the body 302, and at the top of which there is a line 320 by means of which a cover 321, provided with velcro closure means, is hinged.
Any one of the three embodiments of the case for portable telephone equipment of the invention permits the handset to be used and the battery to be charged or recharged without having to open the case. These operations can be carried out by merely opening the covers closing the windows communicating with the outside of the compartments in which the handset and the battery are housed.
