Abstract
216,546. Le Petit, C. J. M. M., Burns, J. S., and Blanke, C. A. Jan. 1, 1923. Yeast.-Lactic yeast is activated by growing it in an aqueous culture medium containing a pulp of castor oil seeds, or in one containing a small amount of sodium sulphoricinate, the proportion of which is gradually increased; the latter bath may contain a small quantity of castor oil seed pulp. In either case the yeast is left to stand for 2-3 days at a temperature of about 28 C. Specifications 6281/10, 24982/10, 24418/14 and 124,718, [all in Class 76, Leather], are referred to.
