Abstract

215,957. Bailey, S. L. May 11, 1923. Connect ing-rods. small ends.-An internal-combustion engine or like piston A with a single, central boss B is secured to the connecting-rod D by a hollow pin F which is flanged at F<2> and reduced at F<3> in the form of a curved or straight taper to receive a similarly-bored collar G. The end of the pin is riveted or spun over to hold the collar. Pistons with two bosses with the rod end between them are similarly secured.
