203,857. Pilkington, H. B. July 27, 1922. Violoncellos, holdersfor. - The spike of a violoncello is supported on the floor by a recessed pad 2 of felt or rubber, or of wood with the grain vertical, inserted in a block 1 to which is attached an adjustable cord 6 the other end of which is looped at 12 round the leg of the performer's chair and attached to a snap-device 15 engaging a bight 6b of the cord projecting through the central hole 16 of a plate 11, the cord also passing through holes 10 in the plate. A disc 17, by keeping the loop 12 raised from the floor, prevents it from being drawn under the chair-leg.
