Abstract

A squeeze tube vessel is provided comprising a threaded squeeze opening, a flexible conical shoulder portion consecutive thereto and a flexible generally cylindrical barrel portion consecutive to said conical shoulder portion, said threaded squeeze opening, conical shoulder portion and generally cylindrical barrel portion being formed by blow-molding a parison of a multi- layer structure including at least one layer composed of an oxygen barrier thermoplastic resin, at least one layer composed mainly of a moisture- resistant thermoplastic resin and, if necessary, an adhesive resin layer interposed between said two layers, wherein said generally cylindrical barrel portion has a cut end edge and the confronting inner faces of the generally cylindrical barrel portion at said cut end edge are lapped and fusion-bonded to each other to form a bottom portion. The vessel is prepared by a process in which the parison is blow-molded to form a closed bottom container vessel, the bottom portion is cut off at the end edge of the barrel portion, the cut end edge is gripped and the confronting inner faces of the cut end edge are fusion-bonded after filling through the cut end. <IMAGE>
