Abstract

A communication system comprising an apparatus 1 which will accept television video signals and/or audio signals and/or control signals, and enable a domestic TV receiving set 4 connected at the end of a single cable 5 remote from the apparatus to be used as a TV video and/or sound monitor. A controller may be added at the remote end of the cable to control the camera, audio circuits, and provide a call system. By using different frequencies two or more such systems may use the same cable, and simultaneous two way sound and vision links may be set up. Also a domestic TV may be used to select one of a number of camera signals by means of its tuning push buttons. The audio 3 and video 2 inputs are modulated M1, M2 on respective carriers. <IMAGE>
