Abstract

202,191. Savile, R. A. Sept. 22,1922. Feeding-appliances for animals.-A pig-feeder having a trough supplied with dry meal from a hopper is fitted with a freely-movable agitator placed on the trough bottom below the hopper to assist the flow of the meal. The agitating-device may comprise radial arms 4 attached to a ring 3 and pivoted on a bolt 7, the bent ends 5 of the arms projecting into the annular feeding-space 2. A loose member, comprising a ring 9, Fig. 6, with cross-bars 8 in square, triangular, or cross form, or a triangle of bars, may be employed. Specification 185,034 is referred to.
