Abstract

A process for manufacturing a feeder model (1) comprising a gasifiable foam core (10) with a self supporting jacket (12) by means of a core shooting machine. The previously prepared core (10) is fixed within a cavity of a core shooting box (2) conforming to the form of the feeder model. The core shooting box is then closed and inserted in the core shooting machine. A mass for forming the jacket is introduced by means of shot air into the space formed between the core and the internal wall of the core-shooting box. After removal of the core shooting box from the shooting machine, the box is opened and the manufactured feeder model removed. <IMAGE>
