Abstract
A percutaneous blood-oxygen concentration measuring sensor comprises an electrode assembly having a cathode (1), surrounded by an anode (3) with an insulator (2) between them. An electrode membrane (5) is arranged so that an on electrolyte (8) is held between the electrode membrane (5) and an end portion of the electrode assembly. A heating body (10) surrounds the outside of the electrodes and has an electrode membrane exposing opening (11) at its centre. The end portion of the electrode assembly as a tapered surface (12) which matches a frusto-conical internal tapered surface of the heating body surrounding the opening (11). <IMAGE>
