Abstract

A cultivating machine for effecting a combination of cultivating operations in series has a frame 2 which is attachable to a tractor. Cultivating tools 3 are attached to the frame. A cultivating implement, preferably a rotary cultivator 6, has three point linkage attachment means 4, 5 by which it is connected to the rear end of the frame. Supporting wheels 9 are mounted on arms 10 on the frame and pivoting of the arms raises and lowers the machine to transport and working positions. The linkage 4 of the implement being connected to the arms at 13 and connected to the frame by a link 11 causes the implement 6 to move forwards and upwards when a hydraulic ram 16 moves the arms 10 and wheels 9 to the transport position with the links 4 moving from the chain dotted to the full line position. A further linkage arrangement 18B causes upward movement of the frame about the drawbar 18 when the ram 16 is operated to a transport position. <IMAGE>
