Abstract

A shut-off valve for a duct such as a ventilation duct comprises two separate blades (32, 34) secured on a supporting member (26) held by a pivot (12). Each blade (32, 34) is associated with a separate frame (40, 42) on which the relative blade bears in sealing-tight relationship when in the closed position. The frames (40, 42) are sealed to the duct walls and those parts of the frames which are adjacent the pivot axis (12) are interconnected by a wall (44). <IMAGE>
