Abstract

In a prefabricated building, edges of two adjacent cladding panels (14) are secured to vertical support members (1), each having a first side (5) which is arranged, in use, adjacently spaced from the first side of the other member and each having a on second side (6) arranged at an angle to the first side to form a surface for abutment with a panel edge, together with a pair of elongate retaining members (15) each having a first side (23) for disposition within the space formed by adjacent first sides of the support members and a second side (22) at an angle to the first side and arranged, in use, to fit flush against the panel edge to retain the edge in position against its support member, there being means provided, e.g. a bolt to clamp the first sides of the support members and the retaining members together. <IMAGE>
