Abstract

Several independent studs 2 are disposed side-by-side on a support forming part of being separate from the article to be personalised. Each stud is constituted by a flat head 3 provided on its upper face with a sign or character while its lower face is provided with a stem 4 which fits into a hole 7 on the support. The stem 4 is provided with a throat in which engages an O-ring 8 which is retained between a ring 10 forced or pressed into the upper part of the hole and an end face 9 of the hole. The disposition of the hole 7 on the support and the form of the heads 3 are such that the studs are disposed side- by-side. The application of the arrangement is the personalising of any article such as a handbag, case, lighter, compact, bracelet, watch or letterbox. <IMAGE>
