Abstract

A planetary mill for rolling tubes or bars comprises two or more rolls mounted in a housing which is connected to power driven means whereby the housing can be rotated, there being also provided means other than said rolls for advancing an elongate workpiece in a longitudinal direction through the housing whilst the latter is rotated. The mill can be used for elongating tubes, for rotary piercing, or for pointing operations. Two such mills can be arranged in tandem. <IMAGE>
