Abstract

A lottery ticket, or similar article, is prepared by printing 11 onto a preferably porous substrate followed by the deposition of a coat of a liquid composition which sets to form an impervious tough film 13 through which the printed information can be seen, and an effectively opaque substance 14 is then deposited on said film so as temporarily to obscure at least some of the information printed on the substrate. <IMAGE>
